Leave the temple the same way as you came and turn right down Stone Nullah Lane. You will pass the Blue House, a blue tenement block with green doors and a small shrine to the Earth God. This is typical of the tenements built before the Second World War to house market workers.
The son of a previous owner of a fish stall lives on the first floor. He can remember how, during the Japanese occupation, his father housed and fed all his employees in the customary manner. The tenement, divided into cubicles, housed sixteen to twenty people with extra bed-space created by bunks suspended from the ceiling.
